What is Funding?

In Singapore, various funding schemes are available to help individuals pursue continuing education and career development. These schemes aim to make learning more accessible and affordable, supporting both personal and professional growth.

Types of Funding Available

SkillsFuture Funding

SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) provides funding for the SkillsFuture Series, a collection of short, industry-focused courses that are curated to address emerging and in-demand skills, helping individuals upskill and reskill to adapt to changing job requirements.

Singapore Citizens or PR
Age
Age 21 years old and above

Current SSG guidance also covers eligible Long-Term Visit Pass Plus (LTVP+) holders for selected funded courses. ITEL’s automated fee estimates currently cover SCs and PRs only, so LTVP+ eligibility and fees must be confirmed with ITEL.

Terms & conditions

Attendance
  • Attended at least 75% of the course.
  • Declared as competent during the assessments.

Course category

ITEL’s Class Schedule currently stores these as CAT A and CAT B. Their displayed rates correspond to the prevailing SSG Tier 1 and Tier 2 funding rates respectively; the exact approved funding tier is confirmed for each course run.

Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 21 and above: up to 70%

Singapore Citizens aged 40 and above: up to 90%

Company-Sponsored (Non-SME)

Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 21 and above: up to 70%

Company-Sponsored (SME)

Eligible Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 21 and above: up to 90%

CAT B / Tier 2 rates

Separate Skills and Training Support for persons with disabilities

Eligible persons with disabilities may receive up to 95% funding for selected Tier 1 courses supported by SG Enable. This is separate from SCTP Additional Funding Support and is not automatically applied by the website calculator. Contact ITEL to confirm whether the selected course is supported and what documents are required.
