This intermediate-to-advanced course provides a broad overview of modern cybersecurity through the eyes of an ethical hacker. It teaches learners how to identify and neutralise threats by understanding the methods used by real-world attackers. By exploring various systems, learners can spot vulnerabilities before any damage occurs. The course also covers new AI-driven tools to keep skills up to date. Learning Outcomes

Define the current needs of IT security
Explain the hacking process
Carry out threat modelling and secured source code review
Conduct authorised penetration testing of systems consisting of a range of penetration testing methodologies, tools and techniques
Use a suite of network monitoring and vulnerability scanning tools to assess the threats and vulnerabilities in a system
Identify vulnerability exploitations and potential attack vectors into a system
